Little Girl in Pony Tails
Little girl in pony tails,
in a crowd but so alone..
Eating sweet wild strawberries,
dreaming of another world.
Days are so painfully long
Life’s not been happy at home.
Little girl in pony tails
Crying softly…crying alone.
Little girl in pony tails
wandering off into the unknown.
Happy among the butterflies
watching birds crafting their homes
sticking out her little hand
enticing caterpillars to crawl.
Little girl in pony tails
in a crowd but so alone

dreaming of a happier home.
Beautifully sad, and regretfully so true. May God bless all the pony tail girls and boys too.
