I Can Not Hide From Wisdom
Those silver eyes of wisdom
Shine upon me as you speak
Pulling me from where I am
To where I ought to be
I wonder how you see beyond
What other people see
Comprehending what I really am
And what I ought to be
I stand here in amazement
As those silver eyes perceive
The deep dark things I try to hide
The things that make me ‘ME’
But you, you seem to read me
You know what I truly am
I can’t fool you even a little
You are wise to every scam
Though I may try to hide from you
You always seem to know
Exactly where to find me
There is nowhere I can go
I bow to your persistence
And I thank you for your help
Those silver eyes of wisdom
Make me look back at myself

just lovely wandering xxx
I loved that wandering you write so well and thanks for sharing it with us. :).
I agree, it was lovely 🙂
That is great poetry, I really enjoyed it!
Thank you all so much for your kind words! I wax poetic quite frequently….some are not so deep….more of the “redneck” variety….but all are written from my heart and I hope they make others smile. God bless you all!
