Hypocrits.
Its all very well quoting the bible to suit ones situation, but, remember the ten commandments. Three of which could apply to some. For example. Thou shalt not commit adultry. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbours wife and, Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Yes, we can all quote the bible to justify our actions, but, I reckon, some need to think before using the bible as a means to obtain a sympahetic vote. I wonder what your God would think of such hypocricy.

We can all be hypocrits in live and often do not realise we are being that way. We all have different values determined by how we have lived, and how we were brought up and what values we experienced and exchanged with others as we grew. We can all quote the bible, but some do not believe it but still have similar or the same values. To me the bible is a wonderful book of examples on how to lead a good live and go exist with our fellow man, but religion is also one of he main reasons for war and terror as many a history book will tell. Yet God is someone who was all loving and all forgiving. If we all treated other people as we would like them to treat us then maybe it would be a better world. Yes the same men who mistreat women and break wedding vows will go man at the first man who mistreats their own daughter when that man is only doing as they themselves did.
If you are wondering what God thinks about hypocrisy read it in your bible for yourself. It not only tells people that there is trouble in store for hypocrites,it tells you how to fix it as well.
Think he would say ….He without sin cast the first stone……
was just wondering ron what has happened to all the fun and laughs we used to have on here many a good time we had
Well said Ron x
good blog ronlots of good stuff in blogs recently for thinking of
I don’t think that quoting the Bible is tantamount to saying you’re perfect, that you have a handle on how to keep the commandments or you’re holding yourself up to be a paragon of virtue in any way. I think that’s often how it’s perceived, but I believe that people (myself included) use the Bible for answers. Those of us who feel it’s God’s revealed word look to it for answers for ourselves, too, as well as wisdom for daily living and comfort for ourselves or others. But all of us, if we’re honest, esp if we call ourselves believers would admit that we fail to keep the commandments very well at all. I think it’s a shame that people who proclaim that they’re believers (when it’s definitely not PC to admit such a thing in this day and age) are scrutinized more closely and judged more harshly than others. We, (well at least I will speak for myself here but I know of many others) if, we truly believe the Bible we also should know just how flawed we are and just how much grace we’ve been given so we don’t (or certainly shouldn’t) look down our noses on anyone else. I think it’s truly sad that those who are not believers think they can then turn and do that to us calling us hypocrites. I admit it.. I fail every day.. and every day God gives me the grace to get up and try again.
Well said Millie. I have used quotes from the Bible to drive a point or to simply reference to my own life. I’m not sure some know the definition of hypocrite.
From “your dictionary;
The definition of a hypocrite is a person who pretends to have certain beliefs, attitudes or feelings when they really do not. Not sure if it applies here.
As Millie said, We as believers are human and we fail daily. That’s why we try to live by the Golden Rule book provided for us. I do not nor do I have the right to judge “non believers” nor should they I. It always is the case when you have no defense or argument OR substance you attack or call names. I’m not directing this to any one nor the poster just voicing an observation. “J”
thx J 🙂
Very well said millie xxx
ty Skip 🙂
Fair point, we who have never sinned ect ect
Also picking sticks from our friends eyes when we probably have logs in ours alerts us not to pass judgement but try our best to be living examples of perfection.
Amen, you dont say many words, beatrice, but you sure say the right words!!!(for me),thank you,and i so agree!!.
Well ron, just wanted to add that ,i got it,and know exactly what, and who,ur talking about!! and i agree with you,…not hard to work out. x
yeah Cath aint hard to work out huh but insetad of calling folk Hypocrits why not accept what some folk say when they genuinely mean it is it not better to forgive etc
I think many on here “got it” in a positive way,…………which is so much better (my opinion),than in a negative way,…..and personaly i don’t want to know who he is talking about!!.
Nobody was going to tell u either!!!!!!!
ummmmmmm are we on the same page, cath, lol,…i thought ron was talking about Hypocrits?….
very interesting subject for someone who seems to love casting the first stone at everyone else
That is quite hurtful cef,i’m sorry you feel that way about me,….but i’m strong enough to take it,….have a nice day,xxx
I know this is off the subject, but i’m gonna say it anyway,…..one thing S.C.has taught me is to voice my opinion,…..i will never stop voiceing my opinion on here,…..we are all entitled to that, wether we like what we hear or not!!!,…..when someone says something negative about me,……i explore it in an open mind as i possibly can.
meant to say with an open mind.lol.
sorry flowersun not sure where you got the message i was speaking about which i was not, this was rons blog or so i thought

Thanks kat,(((((((hugs))))))),xxxx
Daft as a brush comes to mind!!! lol
What I question is this. How come we have palaeontologists digging up dinosaur bones that are 800 million years old, here in outback Queensland. And God was supposedly here 10,000 years ago? Go figure.
Jens, that’s a little more complicated subject involving several different methods including radiometric isotopes and carbon-14 dating, all of which are subjective measurements based on the assumptions of surrounding rock and times at which certain material decay, etc.. They use this to determine the age of rock as well as fossils. Much of science is based on hypotheses in the first place.. experimentation to determine the outcome of something that is basically a guess to start with.. I find it astounding that many are willing to accept these “guesses” as fact.. Very interesting subject…
Jens, did you personally date those bones or are you just accepting on total faith in the word of some paleontologist that you did not name, likely do not know and probably had not yet seen a picture of at the time of your post?
Research being done in the last couple years shows that “rate of decay” which was once thought to be a constant, now has variance based on solar activity. Solar flares affect the rate of decay thereby making it no longer such a constant and that renders carbon14 dating suspect as well.
flower can l come with you lol lol xx

We can find artifacts from 800 million years ago but; we can’t replenish out water source lol
Check out the above link and tell me if I need to stockpile water. Perhaps we all need to invest in fallout shelters for when the sky falls. In my humble opinion, this is hypocrisy at it’s best. Perhaps I’m mistaken.
correction..”our” not “out”
What happened to no religious topics? Personally I don’t mind them but after all the huff and puff about a blog that was about Spiritualism have the ‘rules’ been changed?
