Genesis: Enosh’s Mother?

Genesis 5:3-8 tells us that Seth became father to Enosh and other unnamed sons and daughters. Luke 3:38

I’m not a student of the bible but my wife had an odd musing, prompted by who knows what, who was Enosh’s (or Enoch) mother?

Adam and Eve were the first man and woman. They had son #3, named Seth. Enoch had to have a mother. Does the bible tell anything about her?

  1. I would say that in those days the females were unimportant, unless they had a specific role to play and in those days motherhood was not considered a specialist task.

    Therefore no mention.

  2. Personal opinion, but nowhere does it state that there was no other people around. The garden of eden had boundaries because they were booted out into the wilderness, and due to the fact that it does not state that Adam and Eve were gods only creation, it seems entirely possible there was other races or inhabitants around somewhere. Alot of people believe the dinosaurs were pre-adamic and if so, was the caveman race another creation? Or was this Adam and Eve. Fascinating theory.
