DELICIOUS SNAPPY GINGER SNAPS!
My sister, Charlotte just gave me this recipe for her famous GINGER SNAPS! They are so good with a hot beverage of your choice, or just by themselves, yummy!
3/4 cup SOFTENED ROOM TEMP. BUTTER OR MARGERINE (butter is better!)
3/4 cup BROWN SUGAR
1 EGG
1/4 CUP MOLASSES
(combine above ingredients into a medium to large mixing bowl and beat together until mixed)
THEN ADD:
2 1/4 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 teaspoon BAKING SODA
1/2 teaspoon SALT
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Cloves
BEAT ALL INGREDIENTS WELL!
FORM INTO WALNUT SIZE BALLS 2 inches apart ON PARCHMENT PAPER ON COOKIE SHEET (or on greased cookie sheet)
COOK ON 350F OVEN FOR 12 MINUTES
REMOVE FROM OVEN AND LET COOL, YIELDS ABOUT 24 COOKIES
DOUBLE RECIPE FOR MORE, INCREASING COOKING TIME TO 16-20 MINUTES, TEST THEM AT 16 MINUTES!
Enjoy!
