A lttle something for easter Sunday…..

The journey Christ embarked on
He knew would lead to death,
He asked God to forgive them
Before He drew His final breath.

Many thought His journey over
As they laid Him in a tomb,
But Jesus had spoken of this
Resurrection would come soon.

The third day His Father raised Him
A message of hope would unfold,
It’s meaning was eternal life
For every believer young and old.

The reason for this long journey
Was so all the world could see,
How much Our Father loves us
He gave His only Son for you and me.

🙂 🙂

    1. wow way…i didn’t want to start a war here!!!! i just thought it was nice for an easter sunday. actually i do agree… a lot of probs are started cos’ of religion or should i say…they use that as an excuse!!!:)

  1. They write books today and they are categorized as “Fiction” and “Non-Fiction”, It is about time that “The Bible” and all it’s counterparts were put in the correct column. Then we could forgo all these religious wars and concentrate on killing each other because of our colour and nationality.

  2. That old chestnut, loss of life caused by religion. Many more souls are carried off by genocide,, ethnic cleansing, disease, dictators, repression, communism, secular doctrines & sheer poverty.

  3. Well for what it is worth I think religion is just another excuse for starting wars a lame one at that.I think we are all entitled to our beliefs even though we may not all agree.

    Thank you Pols. x x

  4. pollie i liked the poem and dont let them get to you sweetheart. you cant please all of the people all of the time so long as you please some of the people some of the time and you please most of us on here. tania is correct, religion is used as a lame excuse. keep your chin up!!

  5. For what its worth , I think it’s a lovely poem ,that sums up this Easter time .
Religion is not really to blame for all the wars and bad things in the world
after all God as i see it sent his Son down with a message of love and
peace and if man though his free will chose to ignore it , then he has no
    one else to blame

Thanks again for posting it Ma’am x

  7. Now stop yer fighting!!!!! We all have our own beliefs….I know I do….I loved it Pollie but I understand that other people maybe don’t have the same experience of life that I have…or the same belief system….there is no way I would fight over it….Unconditional love is what it’s all about…

    Much love to all
