A Change Of Pace Today
Today, for a change of pace (mainly because I don’t want to strain the brain remembering my childhood lol), I’ve decided to post a “Pome Wot I Rote” some years ago. What’s more, someone was actually brave enough to publish it in an anthology. Needless to say, I think it’s now out of print. That’ll teach them lol.
Here we go! hope you like:
TOGETHER & APART
Together, we could be whatever we wanted to be.
There was no right, no wrong; No good, no bad,
There was just us.
One heart, one mind, one soul, but two people
needing to belong.
We had no misconceptions about each other.
We knew each others weaknesses and strenghts,
and that knowledge made the bond between us greater.
In you, I found a depth of love and understanding
that I had only dreamt of.
You were the missing piece in the jigsaw puzzle
that I called life.
Now you’ve gone, and the bright days of summer
have given way to the chill winds of winter.
Winds which blow through body, freezing the soul.
Come back and break these chains of ice around my heart.
Bring back the warmth to my soul with your soul.
Again, let there be us
