SCREAM!!!

Who has never stated, “that makes me want to scream!”? Or, “I could just scream!”? These, and similar, comments are extremely common. What is not so prevalent is the scream itself. Screaming is not just a great means of venting, it is also healthy. It releases pent-up energies, hostilities, and frustrations. Negativity is thrown out and replaced by positive emotions.

If you can find an isolated area go and scream to your heart’s content. If you must remain within earshot, scream silently. That works too. Never scream at a person directly. That could result in a screamfest which may not have the desired effect. Trust me…been there, done that.

No-one needs to know that you have screamed to the heavens, or why. This is not an exercise in self-pity, or a sign of weakness. In reality it boosts your self-confidence and builds your personal strength.

Go ahead…give it try. What have you got to lose?

Love, Jackie XXXX

  1. The scream, or war cry, has been known for millennia. The Greek phalanxes used it against the Persians. The Scots used the scream of the Highland Charge against just about everyone.

It is not only a release, but a joining, when used in concert with others. A bonding of sorts.

  2. I often want to scream and scream my heart out, but I would have to get in the car and drive away from suburbia or I would probably find the cops on my doorstep and a green car pulling up at my house lol xoxox
