Healthy Steps – Post 3

On May 2nd, I undertook a self-Challenge of 1 Million Steps in under 90 days; most days with ankle-weights totaling 5 lbs. Here is how it’s going so far:

5/2 Steps = 31,822 (with weights) about 14.2 mi
5/3 Steps = 37,635 (with weights) about 16.8 mi
5/4 Steps = 10,708 (no weights) about 4.8 mi
5/5 Steps = 7,495 (no weights) about 3.3 mi
5/6 Steps = 36,454 (with weights) about 16.3 mi

Total last 5 days 124,114 or about 55 miles … a bit over 11 miles per day. (5/4 and 5/5 sick with a stomach virus) I think I can make 140,000 in next 5 days. We’ll see!

1 Million steps in under 90 days requires an average Step-Count of 1111.11 per day. Now averaging 24,822 per day. If I can maintain this rate I will exceed 1 Million steps in under 60 days!!
