Sleep-watching

‘Silent Witness Contemplation’ shows how we can stand back, review situations, make measured decisions, and be in control of our lives. Moreover, it allows the spirit to retake the body and mind, returning us to our perfect, most natural state. Watching the self, as in the posture of exteriorisation (out of body), we can go on to watch ourselves sleeping. This ghostly experience is initialised in the final moments of wakefulness, when we feel the sleepy sensation coming over us like soft sea waves. It is then we must allow theta brain waves to take over, while remaining mentally alert. If successful, we find ourselves standing at our bedside watching over ourselves!
Exteriorisation during sleep is attainable. On many occasions I have observed myself sleeping. The implications of exteriorisation are enormous. If sleep can be watched over by the self, what then of death, the Great sleep? The spirit is flexible; it can travel, as we shall see with ‘Astral travel’. If for nothing else, it is most comforting to know the spirit, your spirit, does not lie dormant when the body and mind have been inactivated.

Exercise: Many times you have been aware of the slow sinking sensation of falling to sleep. Allow this to come, watching yourself drifting off. But remain calmly alert. Initial trials may see you wake up in the morning, and think, ‘Blow it! I fell asleep! But perseverance brings results. Sooner or later exteriorisation during sleep is experienced. During the experience of sleep-watching you are safe. If exteriorisation takes you in other rooms, downstairs, or even outside, the Silver Cord (glittering Astral umbilical cord) keeps you attached to the bodily vehicle.

  3. Im not knocking Bob,s blog(s),Debz..I always find them to be a good entertaining read…Long may he continue to post them.
Its just that,in my humble opinion, the concept of Astral travel etc,is a load of old flannel,up there with tarot card readings and horoscopes(Yes,I read them too..lol)
But for anyone who finds the idea believable or worth considering,I say…Go for it..cant do any harm.
    If I,v offended Bob,or anyone else,I apologise.

  5. Hi Capuccino , no offence taken whatsoever. I was pleased cos’ it got a response out of you, and I guess that’s why we write blogs . Art is subjective, and, if we are to go public with our art we must be prepared for negative as well as positive responses. To be honest, it made me giggle when I saw your comment. Robert .
