They’re not just names
Hmmmm well I just read where one of our members was made to feel shunned because of their association with someone not APPROVED by someone else on their friends list. To make matters worse it seems a private message found it’s way to the wrong person and feelings got hurt.
People! Think before you hit the enter button. Is your post helpful, is it necessary, would you be pleased if the same post was about you? If you answered NO, then erase the message before you hit that enter button.
Chatters are not just names on a page, they are real people with real feelings. You don’t know their story and why they came here in the first place. For all you know that person could be in a bad way emotionally and came here for support, friendship, and safe place to try and escape the troubles that haunt them.

Bazz i so agree with you, it’s called the cyber world, but we are real people with real feelings and emotion’s who are pressing these keys, hopefully showing our true selves……..so type with caution………just as in the outside world, not everyone is genuine, not everyone is nice.
Well said starlette. The chat room should be a place to have fun and voice opinions. Disagreements happen and most folks do not say things to intentionally hurt someone or make them uncomfortable. Foul language and offensive comments are unnecessary. Several different conversations can be going on at once. Pause before you enter a comment. I also think that there should be more monitors in the chat room during the evening hours (USA hours is the only way I can reference that) If you want to have an uncensored discussion make your way to the party room. So absolutely true ! Once you hit the enter key it’s to late ! A lot of damage can be done to others and even to ourselves in an instant !
Many times the ones who write hurting others are hurting themselves …wise words Bazz …peace and love to everyone .
very wise advice baz, its so easy to be misunderstood in the cyber world,one must watch every word … .typed and sent……
So true Baz,the sad part is we all have feelings and no one likes to have them hurt. It can depend how we are feeling at that time of day even if it was said in jest.
Yours is the first post I read since joining up, and I like the tone and the thought. Thank you for that bit of humanity in what can seem to be a disconnected medium.
Lia, welcome to senior chatters. On the whole, the majority of members are beautiful, loving people and its the best place to find friends and company. Dont be chased off by the very few who have issues which they can not control. xxx
