my life
As i look back over the years and reflect what was and what could have been, i realise that it is pointless having regrets because at the time you thought you were doing right.
Like everyone i have enjoyed the highs and the lows and lucky to have had such a wonderful and understanding wife who liked grumpy old men lolol
Welsh born into a family of `10 children with a mother who was slowly dying life was i suppose to todays generation tough but to us it was the life we had and got on with it.
At 16 joined the navy and like most matelots who had come from deprived homes or areas i had a ball lol The only wars were between who went out with the best girls ashore and whose was the next round lol
After that came marriage and 2 lovely daughters and later a grandson and working for a living became a way of life but plenty of happiness along the way
Now i have turned into a grumpy old man, a position i enjoy lol Life hopefully still holds a lot to offer
Great blog cef and it’s good to look back on our lives and be happy with the way it’s has turned out.I am glad your here you grumpy old man xxxx
A very nice blog Cef; a good reminder to all of us. Isnt it a wonderful feeling to be exactly who and what you want to be at this point in our lives; and if we are not just that…you’ve rightfully reminded us to go be it! Helen
Really enjoyed reading this cef, it makes relating to people in here so much more real…………regrets are a waste of time………..unless of course you take the positive from them and don’t repeat what gave you the cause for regret……….lots of life left in you……….you grumpy old bugger you…lol xxx
hehehehe I would say about 99% of the time grumpy lol and finger on eject button. 🙂 1% lol. Take care and get well soon xx
Lovely to read your words, regrets will eat our souls if we let them , we should always look back on the good parts of our lives. I know its hard at times not to say ” if only I had……”. I think sometimes of the husband I lost, the divorce I am going through now, but need to concentrate on my future, my lovely 4 children and fantastic great grandchildren. You lighten many peoples hearts when you come into chat, brighten our days when they are dark, so continue being the old grumpy git …..we love you being just you xx
Nice reflection on your life, Cef… a reminder for all to be grateful for the positives… blessings that we have. …Paths we’ve taken in life had led us through experiences and relationships, and along with any hardships, there’s always the option for us to be positive, and appreciative of life.. and especially of the people who enrich our lives along the way.
