   I don’t find this confusing at all . I think it’s great to have so many choices ! The only thing that I would suggest ( if I could ) is for the administrators of the group that have been idle for many months to delete it if they think that the group has lost its purpose / interest ,a new group could always be started at any other time in the future if there was interest…
   And for those groups that are administrated by members who are not currently active …they could be deleted by admin . After a reasonable time of idleness …say 6 months or so .
   Just my humble opinion 🙂

   I like your idea Nmod. I once checked and there are some who have been idle for many many months. There is also many of the same dealing with same topic. Like your idea of first checking out how many are not currently active. Delete those. Then ask administrators to talk to others with like groups and let them see which could be collaborated on and possible joined to co-admin. It would have to be a team effort. That way no one is trying to take over. Respect for each admin and membership. The number of groups can probably be reduced. Then members can decide where they want to post. Jsmile is right…then post where you like and feel comforable.

      Thank you Linda ,and I like the idea of co-admin groups that are
      similar Although if the groups are active on their own separate ways i think it could still be acceptable .
      I believe most people have honest intensions and of course some expectations when they start a group about something they feel passionate about or they may believe there’s a need for it .
      My only dilemma is what to do when I receive an invitation to join a group I may be mildly interested in …Do I accept it to show support to the friends who created it ? Do I write a thank you for the invite note declining the offer?
      Do I do nothing ? Which ever way ,I can’t help feeling uncomfortable about it.
      What do other people do ? What do the group creators prefer us to do?

   Yes, our choice of group is pretty wide, and I must admit that in the past I’ve joined some then thought “It’s really not for me” I intend to cancel some I don’t use, -no offence to the groups, but I tend to visit some a lot more than others.
   There are groups to interest everyone….but so many! Mind boggling! There are several groups which haven’t been active for a long time, maybe they could close-they could always be reactivated if anyone wanted to give them another lease of life!
   And yes, when you think carefully, many groups do deal with similar topics-joining forces may be a good idea!

    Hi Chatters. Better group management is coming in the next release. I hope also to be able to include categorization. So, that each Group belongs to its own category, thereby making it much easier to locate the Group(s) you want to be part of…

    Thanks Rob, I was thinking along the same lines. Im still unsure why there are ‘Groups’ and ‘Forums’ . Can the Forums be categorized with the ‘Groups’ within them?
    Just a thought

    I have only two groups chat meets and credit unions i pop in every now and then and do an update both groups r people orientated
