Silence

Throughout our lives we face many trials and tribulations. Some may be life changing. Some so small we barely notice them. Often we call upon friends for support, guidance, or advice. Or we may choose to stand alone and deal with the situation at hand in our own way. So far we have survived each test of endurance. The proof is simple…we are still here.

Some of us have come to this sight for help. The blogs show us how often someone calls out for help. Or merely to be heard and understood. And the comments are made. But not always by the right people. Too many times the replies get sidetracked onto another issue altogether. Commenters responding to one another, instead of focusing on the blog itself. Or detractors will have their say while supporters remain silent. Both of these situations have happened to me. And I am sure that there are countless others who have been left dazed and confused.

Let me end this with the words of a wiser man than I …

“In the end, it is not the words of our enemies that will be remembered, but the silence of our friemds”. Martin Luther King

  1. Paraphrase away jackie, the meaning IS clear and I agree with you. Silence is not always golden. Other times, I really DO wish people has relapsed into deep deep silence…lol… take care and lotsa luv Lina xxx

  2. When a blog gets hijacked like that, I tend to abandon it. Once off the subject the chances of getting it back on your intended track are about the same as a snowball’s in hell.

I found your BLOG comments quite interesting and look forward to reading more of them as I navigate my way around this site. Thank you, too, for your friendship…as you can see I was delighted to accept.

  4. Dear Jackie.

so right u r with the silence thing and i think it goes much further than that like when one is ill or had a death in the family and u see people cross the road to avoid u so what hope can we have for the needed word or two on here, there r very few who care to think of your need.
