How do I access My Account?

Hover your mouse over your username (top right) to automatically expand the ‘My Account’ menu. From here you can perform a range of functions associated with your profile.

Why can't I login to Senior Chatters anymore?

Site Admin’s check every single registered profile for authenticity, and will remove, without warning, any that are incomplete, appear bogus or do not comply with our terms and conditions. This ensures, as much as humanly possible, that our network remains a safe and fun place for genuine over 50’s to enjoy.

I've forgotten my password, how do I reset it?

If you have forgotten your login password to Senior Chatters, you can reset it by clicking on this link.

Can I pick which notifications I receive?

Absolutely.  However, we recommend leaving ALL notifications on for a while, at least until you’re comfortable with how Senior Chatters works, otherwise you might miss something important.  To configure which email notifications you receive:

Account > Settings > Notifications

Can I filter who can and can't private message me?

Yes, of course, you have the option to granular control who can and can’t message you. By default, all premium members can message you. Warning changing this option will affect the number of messages you receive. Should you wish to modify this you may do so by:

My Account > Settings > General …and then click on the Message Privacy tab

How do I delete my account

Warning this process is irreversible.  To delete your account on Senior Chatters, including any live payment subscriptions:

Premium Membership

What is your refund policy?

We offer a no-quibble refund on all our premium memberships within 30 days of the original purchase date. Therefore, If you are not 100% satisfied with our service, simply send an email and we will refund your purchase right away. Our goal has always been to create a happy, thriving community. If you are not thrilled with our service or are not enjoying the experience, then we have no interest in forcing you to stay an unhappy member.

What happens if I cancel my Premium Membership?

If you cancel your premium membership you will still have access to all the premium features for the remainder of your chosen term. After that, your membership level will automatically revert to a free membership where access to our premium features become restricted.

What are the differences between Premium Memberships?

All premium memberships offer the same great features, the only difference is the subscription period. In short, the longer the period the cheaper the overall cost.

Do you accept paper payments?

No, sorry we don’t. Due to the low cost of our premium memberships and the extra administration that would be involved in processing paper payments, we only accept debit/credit card or PayPal payments.

I don't want an ongoing subscription

No problem.  As soon as you upgrade and become a premium member you can immediately cancel the subscription.  You’ll still have complete, unlimited access to all features right up until the anniversary of when your next payment would have been due.  At this point your premium membership will expire and automatically convert to a free membership where restrictions then apply.  You may then upgrade to a premium membership once again and repeat the process to avoid an ongoing subscription.

I don't like making payments online

You’re right to be cautious. However, we enforce the highest 128-bit SSL Security Encryption on ALL of our pages throughout Senior Chatters (look for the secure padlock on the address bar), thereby making any transaction totally safe and secure. What’s more, we DO NOT store credit card or any other financial information.

Why isn't a Premium Membership free?

It’s very simple really, we charge a small fee for the use of our premium features to deter Scammers and other con-men from attempting to ruin the integrity of our community. Your small investment goes towards investing in technologies which keep you safe on Senior Chatters and ensures our website remains secure, fun and enjoyable. It enables us to continue developing new and exciting features, which premium members will always benefit from free of charge. Yes, we could plaster the whole site in advertising to generate revenue, but honestly, our members actually prefer to pay a small fee for the many benefits that a premium membership offers. Don’t take our word for this though. Ask any of our premium members and they’ll tell you the same.

Do you offer a free Premium Membership trial?

Absolutely. Every new member automatically receives a free 14-day premium membership, without payment or any further obligation whatsoever. During the 14 days, members have complete, unlimited access to everything on Senior Chatters, without restriction. If you make use of the premium features and can see the benefit of becoming a premium member then you may upgrade at any time during the 14 days.  Alternatively, accounts will automatically convert to a free membership on day 14 where restrictions apply.

How do I cancel my Premium Membership?

If at any time you decide to end your premium membership, simply click on the one-click-cancel button (available to all paid premium members) to permanently terminate your existing subscription. You won’t have to jump through any hoops or fight in any way to cancel. That’s a promise:
