Ode Of A Sardonic Redneck (that’s me!)
Summer’s arrived in my world, it ain’t funny
It’s time to get busy and earn me some money
So I load up my bike with my mower and wife
Throw in one case of good ole ‘Miller Light’
I’m a thinkin’ I ought to bring “bubba” along
He ain’t much for words and he sure do smell strong
But he’s got a work ethic that just can’t be beat
‘Delightfully tacky’ but still kinda sweet
We’re loaded for bear now and headed your way
With a bike load of stuff that might just save your day
Don’t be so sarcastic, We’s ready to work
If you need your roof done, or your soda needs jerked
Does your chicken house smell like a bad grizzly bear
Could it be you need someone to dooo up your hair?
There ain’t nothing us rednecks cain’t handle you see
So look out your window and holler to me
We’s proud to be flashin’ our colors so bright
Y’all just can’t miss when we come into sight
We’s hardworkin’ folk that give more than we get
But cheat us and we’ll squawk like a hen what’s all wet!
They says we’s all lazy, but that just ain’t true
We spent all this time just a talkin’ to you
So laugh at my cycle, if you think it looks funny
But pull out your wallet and pay us our money!
And now that my tale has been told it’s like tonic
For you have to admit you’ll miss the sardonic
