We have hard water here but keeping things clean daily and using descalers keeps it under control and lengthens the life of appliances, etc. We could pay for a water softener system but it isn’t necessary unless one is just lazy. tessa, My city water is supposed to be from a good source but I don’t trust the water so I have filtered water from the refrigerator and then I boil it. This is the first time I have lived in this small suburban city. I plan to do a water test.
