“Unchained Melody” was written by Alex North and Hy Zaret in 1955 as a theme for the prison film ‘Unchained’.
Ten years later in 1965 The Righteous Brothers (Bobby Hatfield RIP and Bill Medley) released their recording which has become one of the most recognised masterpieces for the last sixty years.
