Oh gawd, its happened again.
I started watching a 2016 Brit drama called Jericho and watched the whole of Season 1 that had 8 episodes. So there I am hunting for Season 2 …… Where the poop is Season 2?
Eventually found out it never had a Season 2. 😠

I used to have an ultra positive attitude to everything, the ultimate ‘Pollyanna’, I was full of empathy for everyone, I was a giver but never a taker and I shrugged attacks like they never happened.
Today, and for many years now, I live with no positivity and I have no empathy for anyone (animals excepted) not even for myself.

@Pollypie Sorry you had to go through this. It certainly does some damage. Sometimes quotes hide a lot of things, and some are just living in hope. I could say a lot more, but I wont. I just didnt want to let this go without commenting on it, I cant even find an appropriate emoji

Why do you do this? I think it might be because even though you’ve been irreparably affected by what happened to you, deep down you are still that same person underneath it all, the positive giver with empathy. A thick skin may have grown over the top of it but buried underneath is Pollyanna, still there, and probably will always be.
