This is Bengie’s Drive In down in Middle River in Baltimore County and it opened in 1956 . I have never been to this drive in but have been to a drive in that was in State Line , PA. just south of Greencastle, PA. where I grew up and that is no longer there. Bengie’s is the only drive in left in Maryland.

It is about 50 miles from my home to Washington , D.C. as I live in Baltimore County just north of the city of Baltimore.

The water is the Chesapeake Bay, and Annapolis is the capital of Maryland. The capital building is the oldest capital building and have been to Annapolis and seen the outside but never have been on the inside. Have been in the Capital building in Washington , D.C. once when I went their once with our children.

Marie, are you considered Baltimore Metro. Here I am 10 miles from downtown Chicago but our Metro area can be 40 miles from downtown Chicago. I remember visiting the capitol and as I remember, I saw the Supreme court chambers. I visited my local Senator at the time and rode a little underground train. I went to DC in 2about. 2005 . I went…

Marie, thank you very much. I forgot that today is the first day of spring. It is also St Joseph’s day for my many Italian neighbors, it is a big deal. They may be a village celebration. I may not go out anyway.
