In 1978 a JVC video recorder would cost around £500 to £600 in the UK which is about £3,500 to £4,500 today ($4,500 to $5,500 US) accounting for inflation. So $1,000 is obviously double that amount which is a whole hill of 70s money in retrospect.

Lunch
I took Mike out to a favorite Mexican Restaurant today. What I saw across from me really makes me sad. . . if that young boy is seeking any kind of attention he will never get it from those three adults. . .and this wasn’t for just a few minutes. . . it was the entire time I sat there with Mike eating our lunch.
